Indiglow – Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Indiglow ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application that helps you organize your wardrobe, create outfits, and share your style with friends. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using the Indiglow app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

User-Generated Content

Photos you upload (outfit photos, clothing item images)
Clothing items and outfits you create
Comments you post on outfits

Payment Information

If you purchase credits, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — only a transaction reference and credit balance.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the Indiglow service
To process AI-powered outfit generation and clothing extraction
To enable social features (friends feed, outfit sharing, comments)
To manage your account and credit balance
To send important service-related notifications (e.g. password reset)
To diagnose and fix technical issues

4. Photos & Camera Access

Indiglow requests access to your device camera and photo library solely to allow you to upload clothing and outfit photos. Photos you upload are stored securely and used only to provide the app's features.

Photos are processed by our AI service to automatically identify and extract clothing items. This processing happens on secure servers and the results are stored in your personal account.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage (supabase.com)
Stripe — Payment processing (stripe.com)
Expo / EAS — App distribution and updates (expo.dev)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Data Sharing

Your data is not shared with third parties except:

With service providers listed above, to the extent necessary to operate the app
If required by law or a valid legal process
Content you explicitly choose to share publicly (e.g. outfits visible to friends)

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and uploaded content will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Access — Request a copy of your personal data
Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion — Request deletion of your account and data
Portability — Receive your data in a structured format
Objection — Object to certain types of processing

9. Children's Privacy

Indiglow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your personal data. No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to keep your data safe.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Community Guidelines

Indiglow is a platform for fashion and personal style. To keep it a good place for everyone, we ask users to follow these guidelines.

Content

Indiglow is about outfits and fashion. Please keep your posts on topic.
Do not share content that is explicitly sexual or depicts nudity.
Do not share content that depicts or glorifies violence.

Interactions

Be respectful in comments. Keep it civil and age-appropriate.
Do not harass, threaten, or bully other users.

Enforcement

We do not proactively moderate content. Users can report posts that violate these guidelines or block individual accounts — both actions take effect immediately for the reporting user. We review all reports and will remove content and accounts that clearly violate these guidelines within 24 hours.

                As enshrined in Art. 5 (1) sentence 3 of the German Grundgesetz: „Eine Zensur findet nicht statt." — We only act on content that violates youth protection standards, to ensure Indiglow remains accessible and safe for users of all ages. We do so exclusively on the basis of user reports.
